Encounter Jesus. Be formed in community. Carry Him to the world.

Our mission is restoring the hearts of people back to God through authentically knowing Christ.

Our Vision

Know Him. Become Like Him. Reveal Him.

Everything flows from His presence. We gather for Jesus, are formed together in community, and go to reveal His transforming love to the world.

John 17:3

To Know Him

We gather for Jesus, the one who transformed our lives and who is the Messiah. Worship, Scripture, and ministry moments exist for one thing: to know Him deeper.

Proverbs 27:17

To Become Like Him

God designed the church for close community and discipleship. As we know one another and walk together in His love, Christ is revealed and formed in us.

Mark 16:15

To Reveal Him

Jesus sends His people to go. We preach and demonstrate the gospel through evangelism, acts of kindness, intercession, serving, and the power of the Holy Spirit.

Core Values

Presence, authenticity, love, and Scripture.

These guiding principles shape how we gather, how we lead, how we serve, and how we walk out what the Bible invites and commands followers of Jesus to do.

  • People of His Presence

We prioritize His presence in everything we do by submitting and yielding to the Holy Spirit.

  • Authentic

We pursue holiness in private and public, becoming the same person at home and in front of people.

  • Compelled by Love

We sacrifice comfort so others can know Jesus, stepping out to preach and demonstrate the gospel.

  • Submitted to Scripture

We uphold biblical truth, are guided by Scripture, and seek to walk it out faithfully.

Leadership

The story behind Alabaster Church.

Meet Brady and Olivia Gardner, Senior Leaders at Alabaster Church, and the story God has been writing as Alabaster Church prepares to launch in the Lake Orion area.

Their journey toward Alabaster began with two powerful moments on the same drive through Oakland County. Years apart, God met them with His presence, confirmed His heart through Scripture, and called them to plant a church that would be a house of His presence.

Their Story

How Alabaster Church began.

In 2019, Brady and Olivia got in the car to drive from Oxford to Troy, where they were helping pastor a church. Almost immediately, Brady noticed God’s presence filling the car in a special way. He asked Olivia if she was experiencing the same thing, and they began to pray and worship as God continued to fill the car from M-24, Lapeer Road, all the way to the crossroads of M-59 and I-75.

As they approached M-59 and I-75, the Lord began speaking to Brady about what He was doing in the region of Oakland County. He spoke about planting churches that would be houses of His presence. As the song “The Blessing” played, the Lord brought Numbers 6:22-24 to Brady’s heart over the region.

As Brady prayed into what God was speaking, he saw a vision of Jesus calling His people back to His heart and back to what mattered most: the Lord and His presence. In that moment, Brady knew the Lord was calling them to plant what is now Alabaster Church.

In 2020, Brady and Olivia helped start and lead a ministry called Living Army. They pastored that ministry from 2020 until 2024, when they began sensing God calling them to step out into what was next. God spoke to Brady and said, “Step out first and I will show you what is next after you do that.”

Two days after they transitioned out of the ministry, Brady was on his way to a conference. He left Oxford and began driving the same path down I-75. Again, he began to experience God’s presence in the same special way he had in 2019.

His worship playlist was on a random radio-style set list, and as he approached I-75 and M-59, “The Blessing” began playing in the same exact place it had played in 2019. God’s presence filled the car again, and the Lord began speaking to him about beginning the process of church planting.

The Lord spoke from Joel 2, a passage about returning to God with the heart, restoration of grain and oil, and the outpouring of His Spirit on all flesh. Brady sensed God saying this was what He was doing in the region, and that the time to begin church planting was now.

Later that day at the conference, during worship, the pastor looked at Brady and shared a word he had received from God. He encouraged Brady and spoke that God was going to move from Joel 2. It was a deep confirmation of what God had been speaking over Oakland County and of His desire for Brady and Olivia to plant the church.

Brady and Olivia continued to pray and then stepped into a pastoral church planting role for the last year and a half to prepare for what is now Alabaster Church. They believe God is speaking and anointing a people to carry what He is doing in Oakland County, and they are excited to be part of what the Lord wants to do in the region.
